Book design for the Folger Shakespeare Library’s exhibition, “The Housewife’s Rich Cabinet: Remedies, Recipes, & Helpful Hints.” Produced under the creative direction of Antonio Alcalá at Studio A, this was originally expected to be nothing more than a tri-fold brochure. We developed the concept of a small, keepsake book that Shakespearean-era housewife might carry with her for quick access. The two-color book was a huge success, and won an AIGA 50 Certificate of Excellence.
